Milt... The beauty of natural river washed stone aggregates.
Sometimes people ask, "Are those little pebbles going to fall off?"
We confidently say, "No they won't."
They say, "How do you know that?"
"We know because Milt is an exposed aggregate finish."
They say, "What the heck does that mean?"
So now, we get to sound off a liitle bit and show off what we know and it usually goes something like this.
"We know the little pebbles won't fall off 'cause we didn't stick 'em on there."
"An exposed aggregate finish means that when a new Milt is being created we use something that keeps the cement near the very edge on the sides from curing. Then, right after a new Milt comes out of the form we give him a rather thorough "washin" with a power washer. When that thin layer of cement is washed away we reveal the aggregate underneath. You see, we are exposing the aggregate that is part of the concrete mix that the step is actually made of."
"Neat, huh?"
